Design for the exhibition How did it come so far. At Helicopterstraat 8, the four empty studios used to host illegal activities. During the transition to a new function – to be defined by the future tenants – they were turned into an exhibition space.
A rotating light box displayed the title that was found on a note left behind by the previous tenants. A printed poster displayed fictional evidence in the darkness of the staircase leading up to the space. The shape of a samara enables the wind to carry the seed farther away than regular seeds from the parent tree, it is sometimes called a key and is often referred to as a wingnut, helicopter or whirlybird, whirligig, polynose.
The exhibition was initiated by Lisa Sudhibhasilp.
